Paul Kent, a prominent NRL commentator and columnist, has left News Corp after a video surfaced allegedly showing him involved in a physical altercation outside a Sydney restaurant. The incident, which occurred at Totti’s Rozelle, reportedly began as a verbal argument before escalating into a fight.

Mr. Kent has been charged with affray and has not yet entered any pleas. Following the incident, he was stood down from his hosting duties on NRL 360 and his column in The Daily Telegraph.

Magistrate Scott Nash has granted a six-week adjournment for Mr. Kent’s case to allow time for a treatment plan to be prepared. News Corp has not commented on the specifics of Mr. Kent’s employment situation. The case is set to return to court in the coming weeks.
