A Canberra construction worker admitted to slapping a 12-year-old boy during a neighborhood dispute, causing injury. The man, who contacted the police claiming to be the victim of assault, pleaded guilty in court and expressed regret. The incident has significantly impacted the boy’s mental health, leading to counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder. The man received a good behavior order, and both parties were referred to a restorative justice program for resolution.
