A nurse in Darwin, Anu Chapagain, is experiencing extreme fear and trauma after being allegedly robbed at knifepoint by a group of boys in the CBD. The terrifying incident occurred when four boys, aged under 15, attempted to carjack her vehicle on Harvey Street. One of the boys brandished a knife behind her neck, demanding the car keys, while others pelted rocks at her window. Despite the ordeal, Chapagain bravely held onto her mobile phone and keys, preventing the offenders from driving away as her car had a push-button start.

In a disturbing turn of events, the same group of boys were involved in a second incident later that night at a service station on McMinn Street and Daly Street. A 21-year-old driver was attacked with a hammer by the offenders, causing him to sustain a head injury and requiring hospitalization. The group proceeded to steal items from the vehicle before fleeing on foot.

Authorities have taken swift action, with the 13-year-old and 14-year-old alleged offenders currently in custody and expected to face charges imminently. Additionally, the two 11-year-olds have been placed under the care of responsible adults and referred to Territory Families for further assistance.

These distressing events have left the community shocked and concerned about safety in the area, emphasizing the importance of swift justice and support for victims of such violent crimes.
